Aeolian Pipe Organ Site

This site features one of the surviving Aeolian Residence organs.   First is a brief history of this organ, followed by the organ’s specifications.  Photos taken from brochures follow showing several impressive installations.  Two pages of the current installation photos are next with a peek behind the scenes.

The four podcast sections offer recordings of how the instrument sounds now.  Use Quicktime to listen.  Finally, a brief movie shows how the automatic ten roll Concertola roll changer operates.

For those who want to play MIDI files on this organ, there is the opportunity to send files with your content.   We can collaborate to make music.  See the section marked MIDI project.

For a comprehensive perspective, visit all this site’s segments, by clicking on the titles at the top.  Those titles are available on all pages, so there is no need to return to this page.

The leather bound sales brochure pictured above was presented to John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
